turning off write conflict message

How do I turn off the write conflict error message.

DoCmd.SetWarnings doesn't do it.

fixed. I had a query that would update a record if someone tried changing a field while something else was null. To avoid the error I had to run
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord
before I ran the update query.
