Turning off voicemail

Hi,

About a week ago I posted a question how to turn off voicemail on incoming lines on a BCM50. I am not sure what happened to the post but someone said something about doing a hunt group or do a delay on forward to busy or something to that effect.

If any one could repost, that would be very greatly appreciated.

Just log into Call Pilot and look under lines and check it's not going to voicemail

Yes I did did go in to Call Pilot but ext 221's VM is still picking up on incoming lines.

Check in Element Manager if your extension 221 is diverting to voicemail on no answer or busy etc. Also check out other extensions

To be clear on terminology when posting: voice mail is a system, auto attendant is what might answer lines then there is a mailbox behind a users phone.

Any set that is told to ring will go to it's mailbox after the FNA ring count (unless of course Auto Attendant beats it) and if the set does not have a mailbox it will divert to the general mailbox 10/100 or 1000 instead.

Tip
If you are using mailbox 221 behind ext 221 then best to disable the General Delivery mailbox to avoid some calls going there and have messages build up and never checked.
