turn "key" field to date format

Is there a way through Lookup.ini (or any way at all) to link the createon field to auto populate the Open (Key5) field? I need to have a field in date format (preferably the date it was created) that is indexed.

Are you wanting to populate your database? Crystal doesn't do that, it just reports on the data that is currently there.

If this is not what you are trying to do please explain in more detail.
