Hi,

I haven't used dBase for many years, and now I've been asked to fix a Visual dBase 5.5 program. I have no manuals.
How do I turn off the "set view to xxxxx.qbe" command? I tried set view, set view to, close view, close all. Found nothing in help.

It's been a long time but you might try:

SET FILTER TO

If that doesn't work try:

USE

Good Luck.

Hi

Just to advise what is happening:

a .QBE file opens one or maore tables using the SELECT command.

USE will close the current work area, but may leave other files open in other workareas.

CLOSE DATABASES will close all open .dbf files and release the workareas.
