I think I know the answer to this question. Client has a Merlin 410. He claims he can turn the incoming line ringing off at extensions. I am selling him a Partner ACS r6.0. That is what he wanted. Can the incoming line ringing be turned off some way at the extensions? I have never been asked that be for. I suppose he could activate his DND button.

It has Night Service. That doesn't mean that the sun has to go down to use it. Set all of the phones to No Ring (set the Operator to Delayed Ring). Put everyone in the Night Service Group. Turn NS on at Ext. 10 and phones rings. Turn it off, and no one rings. Record Day message in Night AA and Night message in Day AA.

Yes the ringing can be shut off per extension. This is done thru system programming Feature 00 left intercom twice, right intercom once enter extension number solid lights Immediate ring, slow flash delay ring & rapid flash NO ring

TTT, thank you, can this be adapted to an individual extension? The scenario is, office of lawyers, receptionist answers incoming calls, the lawyers in their offices would like to have the ability to turn the incoming ringing on and off at will. Not sure why.

maximan, thank you, I was thinking more on the personal extension level. Like a single push to operate button, i.e. DND. Please see my reply to TTT. The client claims he can do this function with his 410 Merlin. He is in another city 40 miles away so I have no way of checking this out.

Partner has a DND it is F01 on a button

F00 LICM LICM RICM Extension to add button
Hit button you want to be the DND
type F01

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
