Hi - I've just installed a US Rob 56K USB powered Fax modem for a user , but they want to have the speaker turned off. I set the volume to off in the Cont Panel/Modems bit but this doesn't seem to make any difference . I believe there are commands to send that will do this but have no idea what they are or how to send them ! PC is a new Dell XP Pro machine
Any ideas ?
cheers
Ed

The command to disable the modem speaker is
AT MO
Put this in the "Extra Settings" box under modem properties. It may not work with all modems but is worth a try. Help us to help you, please post back and tell us if this helped.
