turn off mail notification of errors?

seems that the first user that logs in is getting email notifications if a printer fails, etc. Any way to turn off email notification? We use the pine as our email. I'm thinking there is a sco setup somewhere to turn off email notification or have it route to root instead of a user?

I see in the man pages that you ought to be able to turn off the printer fault notification with:

lpadmin -p all -A none

but I'm just a programmer and not an admin so I'm not sure if that will work or not.

I don't see anything about being able to direct such mail a designated user.
