Hi
Using Project Pro 2002 and Project Server (and very new to it, I might add!)
We are using an enterprise resource pool and assigning tasks to our staff like that.
When we're planning our multiple projects, I'm assuming we can we can see where the overallocations are by opening the enterprise resource pool, and we'll need to jiggle things about a bit to sort out any conflicts.
What we want to do is NOT email the tasks to the resources until all the overallocations are resolved.
Is it just a question of publishing the plans to the server and not checking them in?
At what point does the enterprise resource pool start to show overallocations? is it as the tasks are being allocated and the project being saved, or is it dependent on being checked in?
If the latter, is there an option to not send emails to the resources telling them of their tasks?
Many thanks
lynne
