Turn off Auto Attendant and TTG

I am tying to implement Voicemail in a step by step approach. I am trying to determine if:

Using Merlin Legend and Legend Mail Integrated,

1.) How to turn off Auto-Attendant
2.) Can I still remotely administer with Auto-Attendant off?
3.) How to turn off Touch Tone Gate
4.) Can I still remotely administer with TTG off?

Logic tells me I can't but ...

I don't want to turn it off then have to drive in in the middle of the night cause I shut myself out.

If you turn off Touch Tone gate, there should be no impact.

Turning off AA will be an issue UNLESS you can call an extension and be answered by Voice Mail.

You can administer Voice Mail from any mailbox. That is, once it's answered, you can log in as administrator.
