Turn *.bas into an *.exe

Hey all, I know there is a way to do this, and I figure it's done by some program out there, but is there a way to turn your basic files into executables? if it's a program, does anyone know where I can find one?

Any help is very appreciated!

Its built into qb4.5
goto the RUN menu > Make EXE

then click on 'Make Stand Alone EXE'
then click on 'Make EXE'

If you don't have qb4.5 you can find it at most good qbasic websites

Is that program a compliler? I just have the regular old Qbasic.exe right now....

Yes it compiles.

Qbasic 4.5 is a fossil, Microsoft doesn't sell it anymore, but you can download it at any number of websites. I am almost certain that

has a download of it.
