If the plug_ins files are move to Optional, they are found automaticly when needed by Acrobat. The default behavior is to load all of them in plug_ins otherwise at startup.
I'd already got that. I was asking about the SPPlugins folder (presumably used for sevice pack tweaks). Not that it will make much difference. Your tip makes loading Acrobat V fast.
So you should be. Works a charm.
SPPlugins is a directory adjacent to plug_ins and Optional - well, it is on my installation anyway. Contains a couple of dll's that weren't in plug_ins. Just wondered if you knew about them. Like I said in my last post, it doesn't matter if we can do anything with them or not, your speedup trick has done the job rather well.
Enough of this idle chit-chat. Must go and read a few pdf's.
