i have a problem with tunnel link.
i have connected a remote point with 2 different links(path) and configure with tunnel.
i`ve 2 problems :
1- when a link become down the other tunnel does not funcion automatically.

2- also when i shutdown manually one tunnel sometimes the other tunnel does work.

any idea ?

If you could provide some type of configuration thart would be great. You aren't telling us what type of tunnel you are using. If it is something like a GRE tunnel there is no keepalives by default so the tunnel may say it is up when in all actuality it is not.

when i type :
Router1#show interface tunnel x
.......................
Keep alive not set
Tunnel protocol/Transport GRE/IP

Keepalives is the answer. Enable keepalives on either end of the tunnel and you will see it go down when the IP path that makes the tunnel function go down.

Thank you
One more question if you can .
As you can read on my first thread the scenatio that i have , so i want to keep both tunnels up (no shutdown).
Enable keepalives will function when one tunnel go down.
But when they both are UP is there any priority to set from which path i want to pass the traffic ?

Note: The 2 tunnesl that connect my remote point terminate on my controll router but they are from different path , let say first line and backup line , so i want they both up, the priority of traffic path , so when i`m not pressent to control it , it will function normally.
Thnx again

There are multiple ways this could be acheived. If you are using dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP or OSPF you could influence the metric to have 1 preferred over the ohter. If you were using static routes you could influence the path via administrative distance at the end of the ip route command. I know I'm being vague but without some type of configuration to see, I can pretty much only give you this much.
