So I've started a new job and walked into it in the middle of a VPN problem. The former admin doesn't seem to have left much information for me to work with so everything I know is from looking at the Netgear routers.
There is a VPN tunnel between two Netgear routers, both are FVS318s, but one is version 3(office end) and one is version 2(home end). The tunnel stays up constantly which is exactly what we want. However the computer on the "home" end can't see any shared drives unless he dials into the VPN using the MS client. When he does this the VPN only stays up for about 15 minutes. Also, if he is connected to the VPN on one machine(let's say his desktop), then tries to connect with another machine (let's say his laptop through the wireless) either the laptop will fail to connect, or it will succeed and kick the desktop off in the process.
Here are some specs of the set up
VPN Type : Auto
AH : Disabled
ESP : ESP
Mode : Aggresive
Encr : 3DES
Auth : SHA1
DH : Group2
