Hi

I use D-Link DS-601 VPN software to connect to a D-Link DFL-700. I can open up a tunnel so that I'm connected, but I can't use any resources in my work LAN, and I can not ping any computers either.

Have anyone came across this before?

Regards

Hi Magmo, Did you ever manage to sort this problem? I am having exactly the same problem, pptp tunnel opened, login successful and then thats it, no shares, none of the PC's on the server network are pingable, I can only ping the VPN server IP address?? I've tried everywhere, I'm at a complete loss! Im using WIN XP VPN server and WIN XP VPN client.
Any help from anyone would be greatfully received!!

Hi

I'm sorry to say that my conclusion is that Win XP/Win XP's firewall somehow prevent this from working. I did try another software though, one that didn't create a virtual NIC adapter and its called "Thegreenbow VPN". And their software worked right away. They have a this downlaodable so one can try it out.

After have tryed to get the D-Link program to work for sooo long without any success I decided to let it go.

Regards

I'm using the Thegreenbow too, but I have two problems:

1) I have a dynamic IP which tends to change from time to time, and for some reason TGB requires me to manually input that to a field "Local Address" in the IPSec configuration screen. Is there anyway to have it automaticly or not at all?

2) how could I connect to D-Link's DFL-700 from behind a NAT?
