Tuning Oracle Client

Dear All :
I am using an application which its client is published on my Citrix Servers - and these Application is connecting to ist Server on my Oracle Server using the oracle client ..

A lot of users are working at the same time and a lot of sessions are being opened between the Cleints and the Servers which really heavy my servers ...

is there any light or thin version of Oracle Client to be used instead of the original Oracle Client installed from the original CDs ?

yes there is, it's called Instant Client, and although I believe it will work on a 9i installation, it is only certified for 10g.

You might care to give it a try.

We tried it but it only worked with Oracle 10g
but with Oracle 9i it failed ...
