Hello All. I am restoring an lpar on a P595 from a mksysb. On the system from which the mksysb was created the maxuproc and ncargs were changed. When I restore the mksysb the two tunable parameters are set back to the default. Is there something special that needs to be done to make sure the mksysb backs up the tunable parameters? Or is there something that needs to be done when I restore the mksysb? Or, are the tunable parameters never backed up? Thanks for any help you can give.

If the tunables were set "in this bootload only", then they will not be backed up, because then they will not be in the /etc/tunables/nextboot file and the values will not be in the mksysb image and will not make it to the cloned system. In fact they won't even survive a reboot on the original system...
