I have 2 questions:

How can you communicate with a TTY port (tty2A)so that a person knows it is working?

How do you set the port from modem control to local control?

If UUCP is installed, you could add the controls in UUCP so you could "cu -l tty2A dir" and talk to the modem, such as "at i4" and get a register dump.

To change from modem to tty disable tty2A, then enable tty2a. Ed Fair
