TTY port question

When you stat the TTY ports in load 37. They have text indicating what is attached to that port. I have one labeled as "spare" and I want to change it to SEB

Hi,
Yes you can use it by all means. But, if I'm not wrong, you have to make sure that TTY is configured with BUG MTC SCH.

To do this:
Disable the port first
goto LD 17
chg
adan
chg adan tty x --->x is the tty number
enter until you see USER
then enter MTC BUG SCH
enter all the way

To check, goto LD 22
PRT
ADAN TTY x

then look at the prompt USER

Also, know that the des is just a lable. If your TTY is or not in use must be determined by following the cable.

It's a good idea to keep the DES current
