I have Legend:

Slot # 1: 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot # 2: 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot # 3: 800 GS/LS
Slot # 4: 012
Slot # 5: 012
Slot # 6: 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot # 7: 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot # 8: 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot # 9: 008 OPT

I tested ttr's 01-06 (got busy on 07 so I assume only 6 ttrs)
TTR 03 and 04 were the only ones that tested with 3 tone burst 10 times. 01,02,05 and 06 tested with a 2 tone burst the first time and a 3 tone burst the next nine.

When I get the 2 tone burst is that bad? Im not sure if 10 out of 10 had to be good, or an average out of 10.

Problem is, night bell (ext39) does not ring. Call 39 with buttset on, no ring, if i pick it up it connects, SO....ttrs?
Matt

Yes, You only have 6.

Bell labs said expect 2 or 3, so that is not a problem.

RINGING has nothing to do with TOUCH TONE Receivers and Vice Versa!

You may be lacking RING GENERATORS, or the Ring Generator(s) you have are not working.

Tell us more about the POWER SUPPLYS & the 012 Modules.....

Not sure of the power supply, but the 012s are with ring gen (both).

Can I test the ring gen somehow?
Swap the cards out?

Best test is to hook up Single Line Set and call intercom to intercom & see if they ring.

Yes, of course, swapping cards is always a valid test as well.

You may even want to try a Board Renumber, never hurts. In fact, today we did one and fixed a much weirder problem than yours.

The ring generators should work any T&R Bell, but to be sure, test with a known working RINGER phone, and test the night bell on a T&R OUTSIDE line as well.

I tested by putting my butt-set on the port.

So, do I replace the cards because ring gen bad. Or the power supply?

Well, if the 012 says it has a ring gen, we can only assume it does.

However, if BOTH fail, that is weird.

Usually only 1 would be bad.

Again, I would suggest NOT USING your test set, but using the Bell you are trying to ring or a Single Line Set with a ringer, AND prove that it works (rings) on a regular T&R Line ahead of the system before you make any conclusions about your 012 Mods.

Was this working and died, or did it never work?

In that case, before you swap out any boards, do a Board Renumber.

Perhaps a power issue has thrown things off kilter.

But maybe not.

Either way, it's worth a shot.

But I still recommend testing with a real ringer at the module as well.
