Hello,

Does anyone know what are the rules in creation of TT_DB (Tool Talk DB ???) directories in the system?

I found it in /home/ filesystem and in the other location /myfs/tree/.

Home directories are created as follows:

host:/home$ ls -al user1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 22 Oct 3 16:21 user1 -> /myfs/tree/user1

r, m.

hi,
sicerely NOT, however it come created at a parallel level of home directory and grows with the use.
For my experience, you can remove or empty it, without any problem.
I put the home dir of my users in a server (NFS exported)filesystem /home/users/ (/home/users/usr01, /home/users/usr02, ... ) and at /home/users/ level, AIX creates a TT_DB that grows of many mb, and some time (a server migration, a maintenance job on server), I delete it without problem.

bye
