I talk with someone about how can I make calls to CISCO IP PHONE directly from Outlook contacts.
That guy told me that there is a tool that we can download from CISCO called TSP.
Unfortunately, I have only found a tool that works with CCM EXPRESS.

Does someone know of a tool to work with CCM ?

Thank you.

There is a Plugin you download off the Admin page of CallManager called "Cisco Telephony Service Provider" (TSP)

Download it and install. Keep in mind it is not supported by TAC.

You will have to make sure you create a user on the Callmanager side that is associated with the IP phone.

Thank you for your reply mtashiro,
Unfortunately I was not able to put it working.

I have the user name created, but was not able to make any call.
The text file with the instructions is not good enough

Did you edit the CiscoTSP setting from control panel in Windows (Phone and Modems/advanced tab)?

If you enable detailed tracing and post the log that gets created when you try and dial we can look at that.

Hi,
I read the text file and follow the instructions.
I have done the configuration on the control panel.
I don´t know if CTI device/route point are needed ?

I´m going to try again with the log turned on.

Even if I make it work, I don´t think I would deploy it to users. How can I deploy and configure TSP on 300 users with out going to their desktops ?

There is management software that can push software to the clients but the issue is setting the credentials for each user.

Send the debugs when you capture.

Hi mtashiro,
I found the problem, it was very simple.
I had to enable the use of CTI applications on the user in CCM.

The only thing missing is to find a way to install and configure this in all workstations on users without administration privilege.

Do you know of a way ?

You could use SMS from Microsoft. I think it might be called something different now.

The only issue is not sure how you would set the credentials inside the plugin itself.

I think that the installation is the easiest part.
The trick is to configure the TSP for the callmanager IP.
I don't have a problem if the user has to input user/pass.

Does TSP work in Vista? I've installed it but everytime I update the CallManager and User info it seems to disappear like it was never there.

I have never tried but I doubt it. let me do some checking and I will see what I can find.
