TSM - Dynamic Drive Sharing

I am interested to heard how TSM handles dynamic drive sharing when deployed in a SAN environment. If, for example, 6 UNIX hosts see the same drive who/what handles the arbitration. I am familiar with Veritas NetBackup, are there similarities in this functionality ?
