TSESP6, SP3, not FR1 Printer Autocreation

I had a server that was autocreating printers fine. We installed an application that we want to use via anonymous user but the anonymous user printers were not autocreating. In the process I installed SP3, now for explicit users whose printers were autocreating, some are not anymore. And I now have the dreaded server crash when some clients connect with a printer that the server doesn't like. I uninstalled SP3, re-applied SP6.
I have removed all of the printer drivers and only installed the lastest HP LaserJet 4Si driver. I have entries in wtsuprn.inf for the problem printers. What am I missing here ???

I haven't experienced anything like this - does the same thing happen on a test server?

Is the HP driver a certified Terminal Server driver, or the latest one from their website? You'd be better off using a driver that comes with SP6 and aliasing it in wtsuprn.inf, if necessary. I suspect this of causing your crashes - which drivers are listed in the screen dump?

It would be better to apply SP6 then SP3, because SP6 contained some code that broke the ICA Browser. There is also an M$ hotfix for this; Q269214.

Thanks. I had downloaded the lastest drivers from HP. I will try the built-in ones again.

I don't think the problem was a result of SP3 anymore. I had forgotten I also upgraded my ica client to the lastest.

When I uninstalled it and installed the 4.0 client. My default printer which is a HP Laserjet 4000 Series PCL 6 that is mapped in the wtsuprn.inf file to use HP Laserjet 4 would autocreate again. It would not autocreate with the 6.1 client. I could only get a Laserjet 4Si printer to autocreate.

Are there any know issues with anonymous users and autocreated printers ??
