Hello all.

I've setup a Single 2008 Terminal Server for my users and seem to be having a problem with the TS Roaming User Profile and a error in the lower right when a user logs on "Your User Profile was not loaded Correctly".

My Setup :
2x2008 DC
1x2008 Terminal Server.

Created New OU, moved TS server into it, created GPO and enabled Loopback Processing and then locked it down to my requirements.
Denied Administrator from the policy.

In the GPO : “Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Terminal Services -> Set path for TS Roaming Profiles”

I have entered "\\server\tsprofiles

Now when any user logs onto the TS Box they never get a profile created.

I have also tested adding the path in the users AD for TS setting and it still does not work ?

I also have a problem where all users get a small pop up in the lower right stating "Your User Profile was not loaded Correctly"?

Can anyone advise me here ?

Cheers

First off, thanks for posting such a detailed explanation of what you have done so far.

One thing you don't mention is if you set that policy to enabled. Please refer to the below technet link and let me know if this resolves your issue or not.

Roaming TS Profiles or folder redirection is not *required* if all your users are connecting to a single server. Since that is the case for you I think you could disable this feature unless you are planning to roll out a second TS Server.

Make sure that your users have write rights to the designated TS Profile location.

Also while logged in as a user, try connecting to the location where the profiles are going to be stored. If you can't connect you know you have a permissions issue.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
