I have a Terminal Server 2003. No recent configuration changes were made.

Users logging in now, enter their login details and are greeted with a blank screen.

I get the following errors in the Event Log:

The server {BA126AE5-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

TermService clustering failed to update the session directory, hresult=0x80004005.

Session Directory service on server Servername is not available.

The "Session Directory Computers" group is empty, you must add the computer accounts of Terminal Servers into this group for the Session Directory service to work properly.

---------

I can ping the Server and map a drive to it. It is no longer visible under Terminal Services Manager.

Can anyone help??

Thanks

I Googled the error 'The server {BA126AE5-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout' - tracked the registry key down to 'Network connection Manager class'

Opened 'Component Services' and searched for the Program but it's not there.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Know how to fix without an OS resinstall?

Thanks..

I checked Eventid.net and it gave instructions to find the component that the {BA126AE5-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E} relates to and edit the permissions in Component services.

I opened component services but as the component is not there - the fix provided doesnt apply.

Any other suggestions???

That worked perfect - thanks for searching for that - I didnt uncover it on my searches.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.
