I have a TS in our DMZ, it is a member server. I get all the POlicies to it, except user policies. When I run aa RSOP it tell me there are no user settings, and that all the GPO that were suppoesed to process did.

In my Default Domain Policy (AD 2008) I have mapped drives, these work on every system so far, excpet this one.

I can type net use T: \\server\Share and I get the drive.

The other thing that does not come across are icon I have created in the GPO.

Any ideas?

For starters the GP Default should only be used for password mgt anything else you should create a new one. As for drive mapping you can put a BAT file in SYSVOL and that should work, this is what I use. Also make sure you have licensing to allow for mapping of drives.

So there is a firewall between this member server and the domain controller? Is there a DC also in the DMZ?

If you are not getting any user settings, it sounds like there may be a firewall blocking requests between your network and the DMZ.

Can you or your FW manager look for denies when logging in?

Thanks,
Andrew

Correct Default Domain shoudl only have login. I changed this.

I will check the FW and let you know.
