TS 2000

I have a box with termainl server 2000 installed, for some reason some of my excel files will not open when you are in ts session. Basically what happens is excel try to load the specific file and halfway through it will shut down, also we are running an accounting database which happens the same when you try to run a report it will shut down. Any help will greatly be appriciated.

Could you give us some more info here? Does it happen to all excel-files or do some work? What kind of database does the accounting app use? Who are you logged on a when this happens, an administrator or a user. Maybe you have a permissions issue. You could try to use the tools Filemon or Regmon from

to se if there are any access denied entries if you run a capture when you open the file or run the report

First, it does not matter who you logged in as. it only happens in certain excel docs. The accounting system is timberline whicjh uses pervasive engine, also over the weekend some users told me that when they try to print in word same thing happens and word just disappear.
Please help....
