Trying to write to WP'd media

I don't suppose Networker has any intelligence on how to deal with trying to write to a tape that has the physical write-protect tab set.

It does as of 6.1.2 (LGTpa17547) has been fixed:

If a tape's write protection tab was set, instead of ejecting the tape, the NetWorker server displayed the message, "permission denied" and then stopped responding. This has been resolved.

I'm using 6.0.3. We tried 6.1.1 but it had some problems and I'm not inclined to upgrade again for a while.

I ended up figuring out which nsrmmd was attached to that tape drive, -9'ed it, which cancelled the stage session I was running. I'm rerunning the unstaged savesets right now, all is well.

I was on 6.0.3 for the same reasons...couldn't afford the headaches of the 6.1.1 code.

When 6.1.2 comes out tomorrow you should consider it.
