I am trying to setup a linked server using SQL2000 server.
I have the latest version of client access installed. I created a system DNS and that connection works fine. When I try and create a linked server all I get is the hourglass and nothing else. no time out messages etc.

Csn some one help me setup the linked server. I tryed using the Microsoft OLEDB for ODBC Connections. I am not sure what to put in some of these fields.
This is what i have so far.

Product Name = Not sure so I used the same name as systems DNS.

DataSource Name = system DNS
Provider String = Client Access ODBC Driver (32-bit)
Location = Not sure
Catalog = Not sure.

I've tryed using different things for location and catalog but cant get it to work.

I have also tryed using the IBM AS400 OLEDB Provider.
am confused at what to put into those fields:

Product Name = ?
Data Source = ?

Any help would be appreciated
thanks
