Trying to use Quarter and Year for dates

I need to create a report where the user is prompted to input Quarter, Year, and First Monday of the Quarter. I need to then use those inputs to figure out dates for the report and use those dates to pull in all the data. How can I figure these out in Cognos?

The smart approach is to add a calendertable to your model that contains all three required input values. First Monday of the quarter is not something you will be able to determine using Cognos functions. Quarter itself can be identified by using a case against the monthnumber.
