trying to use file system device - brighstor 11.0

hi -
i just bought a buffalo external network drive. i would like to back up to it using the "backup to file system device" option.

when i go to add the network path from a mapped or non mapped drive, the tape engine fails to start after i run device congifuration.

i end up deleting the file system device and everything works again. anyone have any suggestions? i am downloading 11.5 in hopes that maybe it will work with that version.
