Trying to add this printer to my available network printers, am in one domain, this printer is in another. I map as a supervisor to the printer's domain, and then run the "Add network printer" wizard on my system. Apparently installs correctly....but then cannot print a test page, let alone anything else.
If I try to change the driver on my local printer setup - from the HP/CD installed "Laser Jet 4500N 4500 PS" to the MS default HP Color Laserjet, I can use the printer, but the drivers install on the printer domain PDC, not my local system...I don't want to downgrade everyone just to have a link. Is there a way I can use this printer without changing the drivers?

Install it twice on the server, once w/ the drivers for you and once for everyone else. Then add the printer on your machine, attaching to the shared printer w/ the correct driver for you - everyone else will continue to use the original install.
