Trying to upgrade to Nw51sp4 1

Hi All - I've just built up a new Netware 5.1 server on dell poweredge2550 hardware with 2gb ram and 3x36gb drives using the 128bit OS 5.1 install disc
The installation worked ok but when I then attempted to upgrade to service pack4 I got the following error about 75% through upgrade
"the schema cannot be extended using the (sys:\system\svhema\ndps201.sch) file
either admin does not have sufficient rights or password is incorrect" - however you have to login to do the upgrade??

Can'fnd any reference anywhere - anyone got any any ideas??

I've got one other nw5.1 server patched to service pack 4 but the version of the OS is 56bit

For a start, ensure that login is enabled. ALso, run a DSREPAIR prior to upgrading to ensure that all is ok with DS on the server.

If you can't seem to get the schema to extend, skip past this and let the rest of the support pack install. Then you can manually update the NDS Schema for NDPS by running

SYSUBLIC\NDSSCH.EXE NDPS.SCH. -----------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the advice - I've run DSREPAIR on the local database and it completed ok with 0 errors
The thing I forgot to mention in my original posting was that the 5.1 server has been installed into a new tree - This is so I can use the "migrate Wizard" to upgrade a 4.11 server to this new 5.1 server
I've tried to patch again but still get the same error - when I cancel past I am asked if I wish to abort the copy. then it just goes back to the main menu screen so I don't know if the patch is completly done
