Trying to transfer novell email server to MS. Need info.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated...

Situation:
This new client has a novell box running email server and router/proxy.
For some reason (looks like hardware issue), server is going down very often.
None of the employees nor I know enough about novell to admin the server.
I'm good with MS servers.
NEED TO TRANSFER EMAIL SERVICE TO NEW SERVER.

Current environment:
Server - Novell 6.x ?
Clients - MS NT and XP. Using Groupwise for email client.

Where do I start???????

what version of groupwise?

what do they want to keep ? - the ms server can still run groupwise - just need a ds

I Belive it's groupwise 5.x...

Can not/do not want to use groupwise as email client sw. Probably Outlook would be the best way to go for now.

obviously want to keep existing email and receive/send with new server(what ever it might be...).

and do you mean DC(Domain Controller)? and use Exchange server?
nope, can't do that either. They want to keep it workgroup... (you ask them why...)
