trying to share a DVD drive to install software on Windows 8 Tablet, from Windows 7 laptop 1

I can see the Windows 7 laptop from Windows 8 tablet. Its a full version of Win 8 not RT.
I got a full version of Office 2013 Pro plus on DVD. I don't want office 365,
anyway it prompted for a user account, I have a user on windows 7 without a password and when I tried to connect from win 8 it would not saying need a password. but now when I click on the Win7 icon from win 8 it says restricted . I need to turn off something to let me be able to log in as the other user with a password. it no longer asking for a login, just shows can't access. how do I turn on the login prompt again?

Have a look in the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings on both machines and make sure all the options in there are correct.

As a last resort you can always copy the Office Setup files to USB if the Windows 8 machine doesn't come with a DVD Drive but has a USB connection.

I copied it onto a USB drive and that seems to work so far. Its running anyway
And even though I bought a DVD it seems like its Office in the cloud. there was a video that came up as it was installing?

That's not want I wanted which is why I bought a DVD? it does not says its cloud any where on the DVD.
I am a student at USF and got this at the book store. So I don't know what it is.

Well it installed just fine.
I see it allows saving files to the computer or sky drive.
