This should not be so hard but Lotus seems to make it harder than it should be.

I am trying to set up Notes to send/receive directly to the internet via POP3. I have figured out that I have to edit my location (internet) but it's very unclear where I should enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers.

Can someone tell me which tab and which field holds the:
1) incoming pop server name
2) outgoing smtp name?

Thanks,

Richard

Its not in the location document that you need to do that.
You need to create a Connection document. You'll find the fields without any problem there.

Actually it's defined in neither the Location nor the Connection document.

Open your personal address book and at the bottom of the navigation pane (R5) use the Advanced switcher icon to get to the Settings view. The first section is Accounts. Click the Add Account button and define your pop account - be sure to click the Protocol Configuration tab and specify if you want to leave mail on server (a good idea if you also check and clear your email from home). You'll have to add a separate account with your smtp account info (I don't use this since all outgoing mail is sent via our Domino server).
