Trying to select an object with a Javascript

Hello,

I am trying to write a simple javascipt that selects and then deletes an object on the page... trouble is I can't seem to select an object. Does anyone know the JAVA command for this? I have tried things in the scripting reference and so far have had no luck.

I can delete no problem.
