Hello,
I cannot make Xtrieve(07/08/92) run on win2000. I'm using brequest 6.10 on Novel Netware 4.11. :-(
I can do it on Win95.
Do you know of any other application to edit btrieve files under that configuration?
thanks in advance.

There are lots of options if you use Pervasive.SQL 2000i and upgrade that old Btrieve 6.10c or f. Unfortunately with Btrieve 6.10 you are limited to only DOS and 16-bit utilities since there is no 32-bit requester or interface (other than OS/2 :) to 6.10. There still may be some old 16-bit utilities around, but it's doubtful that any of them will use a relational interface to the data like Xtrieve and so you may have additional problems even if you find one that will work for you. Fortunately Pervasive.SQL 2000i is close to 100% backwards compatible for your Btrieve application and the DDF files that were created by Xtrieve can be converted so that you can use any ODBC application like Access to read/edit files once you upgrade. There will be a bit of a learning curve since newer tools have more capabilities and functions and so can be more complex or even confusing until you figure out how to do what you need to do, but Pervasive.SQL 2000i has very good documentation and Pervasive is willing and able to help you through a lot of this as long at you are on a current product.

Regards,
