Trying to rename web site, its not working!

Hi,

I am trying to re-name a web site using tools > web settings > General then renaming the "Web Name". After clicking apply and then OK nothing happens, i.e. the web name remains the same.

I do not have the web site open (which I have heard causes problems).

Can someone please help? Thanks.

I am unclear what you mean by you don't have the web open. To rename it - you do have to open the web you are renaming in FP and then use the steps you outlined.

Sorry, I meant the site itself was not open (both the folders and through the browser).

You do need to have the site open in FrontPage to change the webname.

Yeh the site is open in Frontpage, and I have changed the name (tools > web settings > General then renaming the "Web Name") but it does nothing!
