I am trying to undo someone else's poor import format. There are multi-line entries in an address field in Access. I want to separate each line into its own field.

I am trying to figure out how to use a carriage return as a delimeter, but can't do it.

Is there a certain character combination that represents a carriage return in a field so that I could show where to split that data?

I am working in Excel or Access 2003.

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks!

I would sling it into Word, do a Replace, then into Excel.

Hi,

Are there ALWAYS, without fail, the same pattern of lines in each address set?

Skip,
