I am trying to open an access 95 database in xp pro but I get the error "The parameter is incorrect".

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am trying to open an access 95 database
How do you try this ?

I recently installed Microsoft XP Professional on my computer. I then installed Access 95 on that machine. I then tried to open an existing database (mdb file) from the desktop, using a shortcut. The "The parameter is incorrect" error appears.

I have let XP create the short cut and there are no parameters specified in the short cut, just the path to the mdb file.

What happen if you launch Access95 from the start menu and then choose the .mdb to open from inside access ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Solved the problem. Once I added the full path to the application in front of the path to the database everything seems to work as advertised.
Code:
C:\MSOffice\Access\MSACCESS.EXE "G:\Database\MyDatabase.mdb"
