Trying to imbed single quote in href statement

I am trying to imbed a value (ZZZZZ) in this statement but the value ZZZZZ must be enclosed in single quotes. ' doesn't work and using &lsquo and &rsquo doesn't work either. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

You can escape quotes using backslashes:

<input type="button" value="Click me" onclick="alert('Here\'s a quote!');" />
