trying to find a speakerphone modem!!!

Hi Im using a cable modem for internet but for faxes i have a fax/data modem, I would like to buy an inexpensive speakerphone voice modem to use it as a speaker phone, and phone recorderfor a dell dimension 2350
now...i understand that internal modems have a jack for speaker and mic...how do i use this do i need an extra set of speakers or whats the deal here? im not a computer wiz so any help will be gladly appreciatedif explained with not much tech vocabulary.....Thank you!!!!!!
 
Run a hyperterminal test, but dial these 2 numbers.

1-888-296-3892
1-800-543-3279

Connect to each number a few times, and post back the results. Very important you do both.

Both lines are 10 cent a minute at&t lines, so don't leave it connected too long.

Stop at step 10 in these instructions.

I don't know about using a modem as a phone recorder...

I do suggest you look at a headset that you can talk into, and plugs into the microphone plug. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
