trying to find a driver for my soundcard

hi. I installed Linux-Mandrake 7.2 about 3 weeks ago. I think its really great. the only problem is, I cant hear anything. which is really annoying. I tried to run "sndconfig" in the command line, but it only said that it couldnt find a driver for my sound card. If there is any website where i might be able to search for a driver, that would be sweet. Coz music is really important to me in a desktop computer. ^_^

One more thing, if you know of any tutorials about configuring the konqueror web browser, i would really appreciate that as well.
