Whenever i Export to Movie, it comes out black (no video) but there is audio.
I also see the preview files as black video.
I checked the video files and can play them fine with media player but on Premiere it's always black.

i also reinstalled the program, tried new codecs, deleted codecs. I have divx and Xvid codecs right now. Is it the codec? or something to do with Adobe?

Evidently, something is wrong.

Seeing as how other people can make it work, I think it is highly unlikely to be on the Adobe or Premiere level.

As far as it being your codec, you would be better able to answer that than any of us. Have you tried a different codec?

You could, I suppose, post more details about your system and about the source files. I'll bet there's a more useful answer hidden in that arcane information. [smile]

I struggled with the exact same problem. Since this is a very basic problem it had to do something with my system and not Premiere itself. All other .avis worked fine except for the one that I had captured using my Sony digital camcorder.

Uninstalling my divx/xvid codec pak fixed the problem. Some conflict with it. Now things work beautifully in Premiere.
