Trying to display the last entry of the journal field

Hi, Iam trying to display the last entry of a journal field. iam using crystal 8.5. i have tried grouping by the calllog.callid field and placing the journal text field in the group footer: the result brings up all journal entries for that call id. Any help you can give that would display the last one only, would be much appreciated.

If journal entries are all seperate detail records for a given CallLog.CallId then you should get only the last (depending on sort) journal entry record in the group footer. Try displaying the journal entries field in the detail section and see what your data really looks like.

No, the result won't neccesarily bring up all journal entries for that callid, it will bring up the last for that callid, if there's only one per, then it brings up all.

You are right, i tried this again with just 2 table and it worked perfectly. but when i try to link 2 more tables it screws up the information. I know my linking is off, will have to do some more searching on this.
