I am having some difficulty getting an ascii character to print on a report.
I have two simple fields on the report, all i want to do is compare them and
display an uparrow in red or a down arrow in green depending on the value.

conditional formatting....it's displaying the correct value, either chr(94) or chr(118) but not the color.

I got this to work, it is conditional formatting with the wingdings. Never used Wingdings before. But easy
once you get it.

I am working on a report in Access 2010. I have a calculated field which totals payments based on a calculated through date that is entered at the time the report is run. I also have another fied that calcuates a balance. What I am trying to do is put a text box next to the balance field that displays one of three messages based upon the value in the calculated field(s). If the total payments field equals a certain amount then "Text 1" should be displayed. If the value is not equal to that amount then it should look at the other calculated field (balance). One of two messages should be displayed based upon the value of the calculated field.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
