trying to d/l mysql 4.1 and after huge d/l, can't unzip...says error!

i try to unzip the file and it says that error: file not a valid archive (winzip)!!! don't really know what happened, i've tried downloading from about 8 different mirrors. each time, same message.

any ideas? how about alternative routes...

You can check the integrity of your download by running "md5sum packagename.zip" and comparing its output with the md5sum shown alongside the download link on the MySQL downloads page.

However, since you were able to open none of your several downloads, I doubt if download file corruption is the problem.

Instead, I would suspect your unzipper program; you might need to reinstall it. Have you been able to unzip other packages?
