Trying to customize "Search" in IE 6.0

I'm trying to use "Google" as the search engine when I type key words in the address bar. I've been advised that I can customize the search function by clicking "Search" then clicking "Customize" whereon I would select Google under the menu heading of "Autosearch". My problem is that when I click "Customize" nothing happens, no choices, no menus.

Can anyone help???
