My printer has a parallel port which works fine, however it also has a network adapter and so I've being trying to connect thru my P4 XP Pro PC ( part of a small network..)
I've printed out the network status sheet which says its set for 10.1.40.202 255.255.0.0 GW 0.0.0.0. port 910 Host JSRM9 DHCP OFF WINS server 10.1.1.8 & 0.0.0.0 then "Not Registered"
My network is set under 192.168.0.* 255.255.255.000 and my hub 192.168.0.1 My workgroup is simply HOME
When I run the PCL6 software/driver it can be "seen" under NNeighbourhood only if I shared it. In Printers I set the port to the printers specs and although all seems well..it doesnt print..
If I run any of the Kyocera utilities that searches for the networked printer ( MAC 00:C0:EE:50:1E:AA ) it doesnt locate it.
I'm sure I'm doing it wrong, or incomplete... can anyone assist or is it peculiar to that brand & model ??
